Dr. Tim Allshouse, Director of Bands, has
been a member of the music faculty of the Blue Springs
School District since 1996. Dr.
Allshouse received his bachelor’s degree in Instrumental
Music Education and an additional bachelor’s degree in Vocal
Music Education from Indiana University.
While at Indiana,
Dr. Allshouse studied conducting and performed under Ray
Cramer, Stephen Pratt and L. Kevin Kastens. Dr. Allshouse
began his teaching career in West Texas as the Assistant
Director of Bands in the Big Spring Independent School
District in Big Spring, Texas.
After two years in Texas, Dr. Allshouse received a
master's degree in Music Education with an emphasis in wind
conducting from the University of Missouri-Columbia and
has completed his doctoral degree from the University
of Kansas.
For the past twelve years, Dr. Allshouse has been involved as
an adjudicator and drill designer in Texas, Tennessee,
Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Indiana and Illinois. Dr. Allshouse holds
memberships in the Missouri Music Educators Association, Missouri Bandmasters
Association, the International Association of Jazz Educators
and Pi Kappa Lambda. Dr. Allshouse feels very fortunate to
have been surrounded by excellent mentors, exemplary staffs
and dedicated students during his career. He, his wife
Tiffany and daughters Erica and Savannah reside in Blue
Springs, Missouri.

Kent Rausch has served as Assistant
Director of Bands at Blue Springs High School for ten years.
In his eighteenth year of teaching, Mr. Rausch is an active
part of all aspects of the Blue Springs band program. Mr.
Rausch also serves as percussion instructor at BSHS, directing
the award-winning Golden Regiment Drumline and 20-30 solos and
ensembles during the spring semester.
Mr. Rausch graduated from Missouri Western State College,
where he was privileged to study under William G. Mack and
Dennis G. Rogers. Mr. Rausch is active as a professional
musician in the Kansas City area, and is currently
arranger/drummer for the Kansas City Chiefs. His marching band
arrangements have been performed competitively by the Blue
Springs H.S. Golden Regiment. Mr. Rausch also performs twice
weekly on guitar as a member of the Plaza Heights Baptist
Church praise band.
Mr. Rausch is active in numerous professional
organizations, both as an educator and performing musician. He
resides in Blue Springs, Missouri with his wife Melissa and
two sons Collin and Kyle.

Lisa Evans, a member of the Music
Staff, graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of
Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education
in 1984. In addition to being on the Dean’s List and a
University Scholar, Mrs. Evans was a member of Pi Kappa
Lambda, Pi Lambda Pheta, Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, and
Sigma Alpha Iota.After taking a short break to start a family,
Mrs. Evans began her teaching career in 1990 as the Director
of Bands for the Columbia Catholic School in Columbia,
Missouri.
When their family relocated to Blue Springs, Mrs. Evans
began her association with the Blue Springs High School music
program in 1994. She has filled a number of different roles
for the music department, including Band Assistant and Aide,
Marching Band Assistant, Woodwind Specialist and Drill Team
Sponsor. Mrs. Evans is currently a full-time teacher with the
Music Department, and teaches Music Appreciation, Campus
Choir, Music Theory, 8th Grade Orchestra at Hall-McCarter
Middle School, and Band Assistant. She has taught flute
privately since 1978. In the past, Mrs. Evans was active in
Blue Springs community music by performing with several music
groups in her church and as the music librarian and a
performer with the Blue Springs Community Sousa Band.
