The Golden Regiment Color Guard unit is a vital portion of the Golden Regiment and attracts some of the most talented students at Blue Springs High School. There is no greater thrill than performing in this visual venue with the powerful sound of the Golden Regiment as the stereo system, a live audience and a hundred yard stage. The Golden Regiment Color Guard is the official color guard of the Golden Regiment Marching Band and participates in every aspect of the marching band season.

Drive, determination, endurance and willingness to persevere are essential elements of this elite organization. Auditions for the Golden Regiment Color Guard take place at the beginning of May. No previous experience is required and all audition materials will be taught by Golden Regiment staff during the tryout sessions in May.

The Golden Regiment Color Guard has accompanied the band to represent the state of Missouri in several national parades over the years. Such appearances include the Rose Bowl Parade, Orange Bowl, the Waikiki Holiday Parade in Hawaii and the Citrus Bowl. Most recently the Golden Regiment had the great honor of participating in the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington, D.C. and was also showcased in the 2010 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
