The Festival includes a prelims/finals format for class 5A/6A and
the 1st place band from the morning show as well as an indoor Color Guard/Drumline
competition. Any band may enter at a larger
classification. Finals selection process:
- High Score from the morning show [1A-4A]
- High Score 5A Band
- High Score 6A Band
- Next 6 highest scores from 5A/6A
The day competition will conclude around 5:00 p.m. with
finals beginning around 6:30 p.m. under the lights.

• Located right off of I-70, 15 miles east of Kansas City,
the Blue Springs Invitational Marching Festival has been host
to some of the finest high school marching bands in Missouri,
Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois and Iowa.
• As has been tradition in Blue Springs, a highly
competitive indoor
Drumline and
Color Guard
festival is also run in conjunction with the
Marching Band
festival. Many schools participate in all three events.
• 4000 seat stadium with artificial field turf for the marching bands and a 2-level,
1000 seat gymnasium for Drumlines and Color Guard!
• The adjudicating panel consists of some of the most
qualified personnel in the profession including representation
from DCI, WGI, the Michigan Judges Association and college
